LASU SUG LIFTS BAN ON CAMPAIGNS AHEAD OF 37TH ELECTIONS
Legitdan News reports that the Lagos State University Students’ Union Independent Electoral Committee has officially lifted the ban on campaigns ahead of the 37th Students’ Union elections.
The decision, announced by the committee, aligns with the provisions of the LASUSU Constitution, clearing all aspirants to begin campaign activities across campus.
According to the statement, candidates are now free to engage students, present their manifestos, and mobilize support.
The committee, led by Chairman Gabriel Theresa Oluwatobiloba, emphasized that all campaign activities must strictly follow the electoral guidelines and constitutional provisions.
The Secretary, Kuku Abdulrahman, also reiterated the need for discipline and compliance throughout the campaign period.
The announcement was further communicated by the Information Officer, Akadri S. Emmanuel.
Students and aspirants are advised to maintain fairness, integrity, and order as campaign activities begin.
