Over 32,000 applicants have applied for the 1,000 teaching positions available at the Ondo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM). In response, the commission has announced an online examination for all applicants aspiring to teach in the state’s public secondary schools.
According to a statement by Goodluck Akinyomi, the Head of Press and Public Relations Unit at TESCOM, the ten-minute online recruitment examination will be held from 9am today to 9am tomorrow. All applicants, including those with physical disabilities, will take the exam on the same date and time, except for visually impaired applicants who will have their examination at a later date.
Mrs. Morayo BayoPhilip, the Commission’s Administrative Secretary, emphasized that teacher appointments in public secondary schools will be based on merit, ensuring no one is hired through unfair means.
