AKWA IBOM POLYTECHNIC SUSPENDS HOSTEL RECEIPT REQUIREMENT FOR SUG ELECTION
The SUG Electoral Committee has removed hostel receipt as a requirement for participation in the 2025 2026 elections. The move is aimed at ensuring fairness for all students.
Legitdan news report that the Student Union Government Electoral Committee of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic has suspended the use of hostel accommodation receipts as a requirement for the 2025 2026 SUG elections.
The committee stated that the decision is intended to promote fairness and provide equal opportunity for all qualified students to participate in the electoral process, regardless of their place of residence.
Students have been advised to comply with other guidelines that will be released by the committee ahead of the elections.
The committee also assured the institution’s community of its commitment to conducting a free, fair, and credible election.
