LASU VC URGES PART TIME STUDENTS TO UPHOLD DISCIPLINE AND EXCELLENCE

The LASU Vice Chancellor advised new part time students to pursue academic success and good conduct. The warning was given during the 2025 2026 matriculation ceremony.

Legitdan news report that the Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University, Prof Ibiyemi Olatunji Bello, has urged newly admitted part time students to make good use of available academic resources and strive for excellence.

Speaking at the 2025 2026 matriculation ceremony, she stressed the need for moral integrity, respect for staff and fellow students, and adherence to the university rules. She also reminded students of the institution’s zero tolerance policy on sexual and gender based violence, cultism, corruption, and other misconduct.

The Vice Chancellor assured students that their welfare and security remain priorities of the university, with systems in place to maintain a safe learning environment. She encouraged regular lecture attendance, proper completion of assignments, participation in discussions, and involvement in extracurricular activities.

Prof Oluwatobi Pemede, represented by Dr Oluwaseun Babalola, also warned that misconduct will attract serious consequences and advised students to be responsible representatives of the university and contribute positively to society.
