JAMB ANNOUNCES 2026 DIRECT ENTRY REGISTRATION DATES AND REQUIREMENTS

JAMB Direct Entry application will start on March 2, 2026 and close on April 25, 2026. Registration will be done only at JAMB State and Zonal Offices.

Legitdan news report that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has fixed Monday 2 March 2026 to Saturday 25 April 2026 for the sale of Direct Entry application documents and e PIN vending.

The Board stated that registration will take place only at its State and Zonal Offices. Candidates must have a minimum of five O level credit passes at not more than two sittings, including two subjects at Principal or Advanced level.

Accepted Direct Entry qualifications include First Degree, University Diploma, National Diploma, Higher National Diploma, National Certificate in Education, IJMB A Level, JUPEB A Level, NABTEB Advanced certificates, Cambridge A Level, International Baccalaureate, and other approved foreign certificates.

The Board directed all awarding institutions to send verification of candidates’ results before registration can be completed. Candidates are advised to pre verify their qualifications before registering.

JAMB also stated that candidates must upload required documents such as O level results, A level qualifications, and registration templates. Candidates with awaiting O level results are not allowed to register for Direct Entry.

The Board warned that double registration or applying for both UTME and Direct Entry in the same year is an offence that can lead to cancellation and prosecution. Registration will not be extended beyond the approved dates.
