GOVERNOR SULE MEETS NSUK OVER ABDUCTED ENGINEERING STUDENTS

Governor Abdullahi Sule has met with Nasarawa State University management, security chiefs, and parents after the abduction of students. He assured families that efforts are ongoing for their safe release.

Legitdan news report that Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State on Friday, May 8, 2026, met with the management of Nasarawa State University Keffi, security chiefs, and parents of Engineering students abducted from an off campus lodge at the Gudi Campus.

The governor expressed sympathy to the affected families and assured the university community that the state government, working with security agencies, is making efforts to secure the safe release of the students.

He announced additional security measures for the Gudi Campus, including plans to build new on campus hostel accommodation that will help relocate students from vulnerable off campus locations.

Governor Sule also highlighted existing security arrangements around the area, including police checkpoints, a nearby police station, and ongoing infrastructure projects aimed at improving safety.

Stakeholders at the meeting, including security agencies and government officials, discussed strategies for the rescue of the abducted students and stronger campus security measures.
