ADELEKE APPOINTS VICTORIA SAMSON AS UNIOSUN CHANCELLOR

Governor Ademola Adeleke has approved the appointment of Mrs Victoria Adunola Samson as the new Chancellor of Osun State University. She succeeds Folorunso Alakija after ten years of service.

Legitdan news report that Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has approved the appointment of Mrs Victoria Adunola Samson, Group Managing Director of BOVAS and Company Limited, as the new Chancellor of Osun State University.

The appointment was announced in a statement issued by the Osun State Government spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed. Mrs Samson becomes the third Chancellor of the university.

She succeeds Folorunso Alakija, whose tenure ended in March 2026 after serving for ten years. Governor Adeleke praised Alakija for her contributions to the institution, especially the donation of the Modupe and Folorunso Alakija Medical Research and Training Hospital.

Describing Mrs Samson as a respected business leader known for integrity and patriotism, the governor congratulated her on the new appointment.

Mrs Samson is the founder of BOVAS Oil and Gas and has overseen the growth of the company to more than 200 outlets across Nigeria. She has also held several leadership positions within the oil and gas sector.
