FG ADDS CNG TRAINING TO NYSC SAED PROGRAMME

The Federal Government has signed an agreement to include Compressed Natural Gas training in the NYSC SAED programme. The move is aimed at youth empowerment and clean energy jobs.

Legitdan news report that the Federal Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to integrate Compressed Natural Gas retrofitting training into the National Youth Service Corps Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme.

The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with the National Automotive Design and Development Council, NYSC, the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, and the Presidential CNG Initiative.

According to officials, the programme is designed to equip corps members with practical skills in CNG vehicle conversion, maintenance, and safety.

Speaking at the signing ceremony in Abuja, the Special Assistant to the President on Youth Initiatives, Dr Titilope Gbadamosi, described the initiative as an important step toward youth empowerment, job creation, and Nigeria clean energy transition.

Under the programme, selected corps members will receive technical training, certification opportunities, internships, and industry linkages within the growing alternative energy sector.
