WORLD BANK TEAM VISITS LASU OVER AQUACULTURE RESEARCH PARTNERSHIP

A World Bank Group delegation has visited Lagos State University to explore collaboration in aquaculture development. The visit focused on research innovation and sustainable blue economy projects.

Legitdan news report that a delegation from the World Bank Group on Aquaculture Development and Expansion in Nigeria has visited Lagos State University to strengthen collaboration in aquaculture research and innovation.

The delegation was led by Mr Ru Jang, Manager of the Global Department for the Environment at the World Bank Group. The team visited the university Centre for Marine and Blue Economy Research to explore opportunities for research support and market driven product development in aquaculture.

During the visit, the Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji Bello, commended the delegation for its interest in the university research initiatives. She expressed confidence in the institution capacity to contribute to sustainable development and innovation within the aquaculture sector.
