FUTA ALUMNUS PROMOTED TO PROFESSORIAL CADRE IN UNITED KINGDOM
Federal University of Technology Akure alumnus, Dr Abdullahi Saka, has been promoted at the University of Westminster in recognition of his contributions to construction informatics and sustainable digital construction.
Legitdan news report that Federal University of Technology Akure alumnus, Dr Abdullahi Saka, has been promoted to the professorial cadre at the University of Westminster in the United Kingdom.
The recognition was awarded for his outstanding contributions to construction informatics and sustainable digital construction.
Dr Saka graduated with a First Class degree in Quantity Surveying from the Federal University of Technology Akure and later obtained a PhD in Construction Management from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Over the years, he has built a strong academic and research career across Africa, Asia, and Europe, with expertise in construction informatics, Artificial Intelligence, Building Information Modelling, Internet of Things, sustainable construction, project management, and digital enterprise.
He has authored more than fifty scholarly publications and has led several research projects valued at over two point five million pounds.
Among his recognitions are the Professional Excellence in Building Award presented by the Australian Institute of Building in 2021 and the Project Management Achievement Research Award by the Hong Kong Institute of Project Management in 2023.
Currently serving as Reader in Applied Management Sustainable Digital Construction and Enterprise at the University of Westminster, Dr Saka continues to contribute to innovation, productivity, safety, and sustainability in the global construction sector.
