TINUBU CALLS FOR GREATER INVESTMENT IN TVET AT KADUNA POLYTECHNIC CONVOCATION
President Bola Tinubu has emphasized the importance of technical and vocational education in driving economic growth, youth empowerment, and entrepreneurship in Nigeria.
Legitdan news report that President Bola Tinubu has called for increased investment in Technical and Vocational Education and Training, stressing that practical skills and entrepreneurship are essential for Nigeria economic growth and youth development.
The President made the statement during Kaduna Polytechnic combined convocation ceremony and seventieth anniversary celebration, where more than sixty thousand graduates from different academic sessions were honoured.
Represented by the Minister of State for Education, President Tinubu encouraged graduates to focus on innovation, creativity, and skill acquisition instead of relying solely on academic certificates.
He also highlighted government initiatives such as the Nigerian Education Loan Fund aimed at supporting students and improving access to education.
The Kaduna State Government reaffirmed its support for the institution through infrastructure projects and donations, while the management of Kaduna Polytechnic reiterated its commitment to producing graduates equipped to become job creators rather than job seekers.
