ABIA GOVERNMENT SUSPENDS AROCHUKWU COLLEGE PROVOST
The Abia State Government has suspended the Provost of Abia State College of Education Technical Arochukwu, Professor Vincent Onwe. A new acting provost has been appointed to oversee the institution.
Legitdan news report that the Abia State Government has suspended the Provost of the Abia State College of Education Technical Arochukwu, Professor Vincent Onwe, with immediate effect.
According to an official statement, Governor Alex Otti approved the decision as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen transparency, accountability, and proper administration in state owned institutions.
Following the suspension, the Deputy Provost, Dr Abdulkarim Jibril, has been appointed as Acting Provost and will oversee the daily administration of the college until further notice.
The government also urged staff members, students, and stakeholders of the institution to cooperate fully with the new leadership. It reaffirmed its commitment to good governance and improved educational standards across tertiary institutions in the state.
