Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma has rusticated 27 students of its College of Medicine over alleged examination misconduct and impersonation. The disciplinary action affects students across several medical related departments.

Legitdan news report that Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma has rusticated twenty seven students of its College of Medicine over alleged examination misconduct and impersonation.

The affected students were drawn from departments including Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Anatomy, Human Physiology, and Medicine and Surgery.

According to the university, the sanctions followed the report of the institution Mobile Disciplinary Committee for the 2024/2025 academic session, which found the students guilty of various examination related offences.

The penalties range from two to four semesters of rustication and affect students between 300 and 500 levels. Out of thirty one students investigated, twenty seven were punished while four students were cleared of wrongdoing.

The university management directed that the affected students must not participate in any internal or external examinations during the suspension period. Some academic records were also withheld pending the completion of the sanctions.

The institution reaffirmed its strict stance against examination malpractice, stressing that discipline remains important in maintaining academic integrity and standards.
