FUTA COMMISSIONS NEW SCHOLARS LODGE GUEST CHALETS
The Federal University of Technology Akure has commissioned newly built guest chalets to improve hospitality services for visiting scholars and guests. The project was funded through the university internally generated revenue.
Legitdan news report that the Federal University of Technology Akure has commissioned newly constructed guest chalets at the university Scholars Lodge as part of efforts to enhance hospitality services for visiting scholars and guests.
The project was commissioned on May 14, 2026, by the Pro Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council, Senator Professor Nora Ladi Daduut. The facility consists of five semi detached and six single fully furnished modern chalets.
Vice Chancellor Professor Adenike Oladiji described the development as the university first purpose built guest accommodation facility and noted that the project was funded through the institution internally generated revenue.
The Pro Chancellor commended the university management and the Directorate of Physical Planning for the successful completion of the project, describing it as a reflection of visionary leadership and infrastructural development at the institution.
