STANFORD UNIVERSITY HONOURS NIGERIAN STUDENT, DAVID AKANMU, WITH PRESTIGIOUS SCHOLARSHIP
David Akanmu, a talented Nigerian student, has been selected as one of the beneficiaries of the 2024 Knight-Hennessy Scholars Award at Stanford University. This prestigious award is granted to exceptional students from around the world who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to making a positive impact in their communities.
According to the announcement on the Knight-Hennessy Scholars website, the 2024 cohort comprises 90 students from 30 countries who will pursue degrees in 45 graduate programs across all seven graduate schools at Stanford University. Akanmu, who graduated with a perfect Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 5.0 in Civil Engineering from the University of Lagos (UNILAG), is one of five Africans and the only one from an African-based tertiary institution selected for the 2024 cohort.
