FG DECLARES APRIL 3 AND 6 PUBLIC HOLIDAYS FOR EASTER CELEBRATION
The Federal Government has declared Friday, April 3, and Monday, April 6, 2026, as public holidays to mark Easter.
Legitdan News reports that the Federal Ministry of Interior has declared Friday, April 3, and Monday, April 6, 2026, as public holidays for Easter celebration.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the Federal Government.
He congratulated Christians in Nigeria and in the diaspora, urging them to reflect on the values of selflessness, forgiveness, love, and tolerance as demonstrated by Jesus Christ.
The Minister also encouraged Nigerians to remain united and committed to national growth and peaceful coexistence.
The government reaffirmed its commitment to policies that promote economic growth and shared prosperity across the country.
