UNILAG OPENS DISTANCE LEARNING INSTITUTE ADMISSION FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

Legitdan News reports that the University of Lagos (UNILAG) has officially released its admission form for the Distance Learning Institute (DLI) for the 2025/2026 academic session. Applications are now open to suitably qualified candidates seeking flexible and accessible higher education through the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode.

• B.Sc. (Ed.) Mathematics
• B.Sc. (Ed.) Business Studies
• B.Ed. Early Childhood Education
• B.Ed. Educational Management
• B.Ed. Guidance and Counselling
• B.Ed. Business Education
• B.A. (Ed.) English
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of 5 O’Level credits including English and Mathematics (not more than two sittings).
• Year Two Admission: ND/NCE (Lower Credit), JUPEB, IJMB, or A-Level passes.
• Year Three Admission: HND/Bachelor’s Degree (Minimum Third Class) and NYSC certificate (Discharge, Exemption or Exclusion).
• Year Three Professional Entry: Holders of ICAN, ACA, ACIB, ANAN, ACCA, ACMA, ACIS, CII, CIBN, ACIA.
• Applicants awaiting results are not eligible.
• Minimum age is 16 years by 31st October, 2025.
• Basic ICT skills are mandatory.
• No UTME required for DLI applicants.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Stage 1 – JAMB Registration:
• Visit the JAMB CAP website.
• Register and pay N3,500 to obtain a registration number.
Stage 2 – DLI UNILAG Application:
1. Visit: http://applications.unilag.edu.ng
2. Click “Start Fresh Application”
3. Select Distance Learning Institute as application type
4. Fill in personal details and JAMB Reg. Number
5. Pay N20,000 online or via Remita at any commercial bank
6. Return to portal and click “Continue Application”
7. Complete form, upload documents, and submit
8. Print your completed form
