AE FUNAI CONFIRMS RECEIPT OF N356 BILLION STUDENTS LOAN DISBURSEMENT FROM NELFUND
Legitdan News reports that the Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu Alike, Ebonyi State, has officially confirmed the receipt of students loan disbursements from the Nigeria Education Loan Fund.
According to an official letter issued from the Office of the Vice Chancellor and dated December 30, 2025, the university acknowledged the receipt of two batches of loan payments under the national students loan scheme.
Legitdan News reports that the 7th batch disbursement covered 1,016 students with a total sum of N207,793,000, while the 8th batch disbursement covered 747 students amounting to N148,686,800. The funds were disbursed on December 15, 2025.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Sunday O. Elom, confirmed that the payments were received successfully and expressed appreciation to the Nigeria Education Loan Fund for its commitment to supporting tertiary education in Nigeria.
Legitdan News reports that the university commended the initiative, describing it as a strong support system for students and a boost to access to higher education across the country.
The confirmation letter was formally signed by Professor Sunday O. Elom, Vice Chancellor of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu Alike.
