WAEC EXTENDS DEADLINE FOR CASS UPLOAD AND REGISTRATION OF ENTRIES FOR 2026 WASSCE
Legitdan News reports that the West African Examinations Council has approved an extension of the deadline for the upload of Continuous Assessment Scores and registration of entries for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination for school candidates.
According to an official circular dated February 6, 2026, the approval was granted by the Head of the National Office to allow schools more time to complete the required processes.
Legitdan News reports that the upload of CASS 1 and 2 will now run from Tuesday February 10 to Thursday February 19, 2026. The council stated that this window attracts a penalty fee.
The registration of entries has also been extended. Schools are now allowed to register candidates from Saturday February 7 to Friday February 20, 2026.
WAEC disclosed that the penalty fee for late upload of CASS is One Hundred Thousand Naira per centre.
The circular was signed by Mrs Kalu P I, Officer in Charge, WAEC Ojo, Lagos State. Schools were advised to take note of the new dates and ensure full compliance within the approved period.
