WAEC ADOPTS FULL COMPUTER BASED WASSCE IN NIGERIA
WAEC has directed schools to prepare for the Computer Based WASSCE. Schools are required to provide a minimum number of functional devices.
Legitdan news report that the West African Examinations Council has announced a transition to a fully Computer Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination in Nigeria.
According to the directive, schools are required to provide a minimum of 100 functional computers or tablets in preparation for the Computer Based WASSCE. The move is aimed at strengthening examination processes and aligning the examination system with international standards.
The council stated that schools are expected to upgrade their information and communication technology infrastructure ahead of the examination. Students are also expected to become familiar with computer based testing as part of the preparation process.
The directive applies to schools presenting candidates for the WASSCE in Nigeria.
