OSUN STATE POLYTECHNIC HOLDS 2026 CONVOCATION INTRODUCES AI COURSE

Osun State Polytechnic held its 2026 convocation on March 26. The institution also announced that Artificial Intelligence will become a compulsory course for all students.

Legitdan news report that Osun State Polytechnic has conducted its 2026 convocation ceremony on March 26 following earlier pre convocation activities including lectures and social events for graduating students.

The Rector, Kehinde Adeyemi Alabi, disclosed that the institution will introduce Artificial Intelligence as a compulsory course for all students to equip them with relevant digital and technological skills.

He stated that all academic programmes in the polytechnic remain fully accredited and highlighted ongoing improvements in infrastructure, digital learning systems, and staff development.

The Rector also noted that the institution is strengthening academic partnerships with University of Ilorin and Nnamdi Azikiwe University to enhance academic standards and institutional growth.

He further acknowledged the support of the Osun State Government under Ademola Adeleke in advancing the development of the polytechnic.

The institution also announced plans to make its convocation ceremony an annual event starting from 2027.
