JAMB RELEASES STEP BY STEP GUIDELINES FOR 2026 DIRECT ENTRY REGISTRATION

JAMB has outlined procedures for Direct Entry candidates preparing for the 2026 admission cycle. Candidates are advised to prepare required documents before registration begins.

 

Legitdan news report that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has provided step by step registration guidance for candidates seeking admission through Direct Entry for the 2026 academic session.

According to the information released, candidates are required to have their Advanced Level qualifications ready before registration. Acceptable certificates include OND, HND, NCE, IJMB, and JUPEB. Candidates are also advised to keep their admission letters from their Advanced Level institutions available for verification or regularisation where necessary.

The Board stated that the sale of Direct Entry electronic PINs will begin on 2 March 2026. Candidates are expected to purchase the E PIN and present all relevant documents and payment receipts at accredited JAMB offices when registration begins.

Applicants were also informed that they must first complete registration with JAMB before applying for Direct Entry admission forms in their preferred universities or institutions. Direct Entry candidates will not sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
