JAMB ISSUES IMPORTANT GUIDELINES FOR 2026 UTME CANDIDATES ON PROFILE CODE AND BIODATA CORRECTIONS
JAMB has released fresh clarifications for 2026 UTME/DE candidates on issues relating to biodata correction payments, profile code retrieval, and portal delays.
Legitdan news report that Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has issued a public notice addressing common challenges faced by candidates during the 2026 UTME/DE registration process.
The board acknowledged reports of delays in payment reflection for biodata corrections, including name updates linked to NIN. Candidates were advised to exercise patience as system synchronization may take a few hours to several days.
Candidates were instructed to continue using the “REQUERY” option on the portal. If the issue persists beyond 48–72 hours, they should visit the nearest JAMB State Office or accredited CBT centre with payment evidence such as transaction ID or receipt for manual verification. The board warned candidates to avoid making multiple payments to prevent duplication.
JAMB also addressed cases of candidates unable to retrieve their profile code due to lost phone numbers previously used for registration, advising affected candidates to visit accredited centres or JAMB offices for assistance.
The board urged all candidates to follow official procedures and seek help only from accredited centres to avoid delays and registration errors.
