FUTA SUSPENDS MBBS ADMISSION FOR 2026 2027 SESSION
The Federal University of Technology Akure has suspended admission into its MBBS programme. The suspension applies to the 2026 2027 academic session.
Legitdan news report that the Federal University of Technology Akure will not admit students into its Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery programme for the 2026 2027 academic session.
The institution stated that the suspension covers all categories of admission, including Direct Entry. Candidates who selected MBBS at the university during the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination registration were advised to seek admission into the programme at other institutions.
The update was issued during the registration process conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board. The university asked affected candidates to make immediate changes to their choice of institution for the MBBS programme.

Registrar of the university, C O Adeleye, and dated February 3 2026.
