FUHSO DIRECTS MBBS STUDENTS TO VACATE HOSTELS OVER ACCREDITATION PROTEST
The Federal University of Health Sciences Otukpo has reportedly directed 300 Level MBBS students to vacate campus hostels following a protest over delays in the accreditation of the medical programme.
Legitdan news report that the Federal University of Health Sciences Otukpo has reportedly issued an internal memorandum directing 300 Level MBBS students in Streams A and B to vacate the campus and hostel facilities with immediate effect.
The directive followed a protest staged by the students over prolonged delays in the accreditation of the institution medical programme.
According to the students, they have remained at the same academic level for an extended period due to unresolved accreditation issues affecting their academic progression.
The affected students expressed concern about the impact of the situation on their studies, career plans, and future opportunities, urging relevant authorities and regulatory bodies to urgently intervene.
They called for immediate action to resolve the accreditation challenges and restore normal academic activities within the institution.
