LASU RESUMES ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES DESPITE NASU STRIKE
Legitdan News reports that Lagos State University (LASU) has officially resumed academic activities for the 2024/2025 session following the Christmas and New Year break.
However, the resumption has been overshadowed by an ongoing strike action declared by the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU), LASU Chapter.
In a statement by Mrs. Oluwayemisi Thomas-Onashile, Coordinator of the Centre for Information and Public Relations, LASU, it was confirmed that all staff unions, except NASU, have resumed duties. NASU’s strike is in protest against the non-payment of the 50% counterpart fund for the differentials of the 25%/35% salary increment.
The management has expressed gratitude for the understanding shown by staff and students and has extended its best wishes for a smooth and productive resumption.
