KWASU HOSTS INDUSTRY LECTURE ON FINANCE AND INNOVATION

 

Kwara State University has hosted its first joint lecture with CRC Credit Bureau Limited. The event focused on trust, data, and innovation in Nigeria’s finance sector.

 

Legitdan news report that Kwara State University has strengthened its academia industry collaboration efforts by hosting its first joint lecture with CRC Credit Bureau Limited.

The lecture was organised by the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences in partnership with the Centre for Advancement and Industrial Collaboration. It focused on the role of trust, data, and innovation in transforming finance and entrepreneurship in Nigeria.

Vice Chancellor Shaykh Luqman Jimoh stated that the initiative aligns with the university commitment to practical partnerships that improve student learning, employability, and national development.

Delivering the keynote lecture, Ahmed Tunde Popoola highlighted the increasing role of digital finance, financial technology, and data driven systems in expanding access to credit and supporting entrepreneurship.

He also stressed the importance of credit bureaus, digital identity systems, and strong data governance in building trust within Nigeria financial ecosystem.
