YABA COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY (YABATECH) RELEASES CHANGE OF COURSE FORM FOR THE 2024/2025 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Lagos, has announced an opportunity for prospective students to change their course or programme to select National Diploma (ND) and B.Sc. (Education) programmes for the 2024/2025 academic session.

According to a news release signed by Deputy Registrar (Admissions), Mrs. Oke A. T., the window is open to candidates who have applied to the college but have not yet been offered admission. Eligible students can take advantage of the change of course option, provided they meet the outlined academic requirements and follow due application procedures.

Available Programmes

YABATECH is offering change of course opportunities into 25 National Diploma programmes, including Civil Engineering, Agricultural Technology, Chemical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Statistics, and Urban and Regional Planning. In addition, eight B.Sc. (Education) programmes in affiliation with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) are also available. These include Education in Business, Chemistry, Computer, Integrated Science, Physical Education, and others.

For those interested in more flexible learning, the college is also offering change options to its National Diploma Open Distant Flexible E-Learning (ODFeL) programmes such as Accountancy, Marketing, Mass Communication, and Library and Information Services.

Application Guidelines

Prospective applicants for National Diploma change of course must:

• First apply for their preferred course/programme via the JAMB portal.

• Then apply for the same programme on the YABATECH College Portal.

• Have a minimum JAMB score of 150 and a 50% Post-UTME aggregate score.

• Possess the appropriate O’Level subject combinations.

Candidates wishing to switch to B.Sc. (Education) programmes must:

• Apply for a change via JAMB to YABATECH (affiliated with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka).

• Have a minimum JAMB score of 160 and at least a 50% Post-UTME aggregate score.

Application Deadline

The change of course application portal will be open from Tuesday, May 13, 2025, and will close on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. The final deadline for all submissions is 11:59 PM on May 20, 2025.

Students and parents are strongly advised to avoid unauthorized agents or touts during the process and to contact the YABATECH Admissions Department for any clarification.
