UNIZIK ELECTS NEW DEPUTY VICE CHANCELLORS AT 242ND SENATE MEETING

Professor Alex Chinwuba Asigbo and Professor Hilda Ewosiida Osisioma have emerged as Deputy Vice-Chancellors at Nnamdi Azikiwe University.

Legitdan news report that Nnamdi Azikiwe University has elected new Deputy Vice-Chancellors during its 242nd Senate meeting held on February 25, 2026.

Professor Alex Chinwuba Asigbo was elected as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), while Professor Hilda Ewosiida Osisioma emerged as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration).

The election took place at the Zephaniah Madubuko Auditorium within the university campus.

Prior to her election, Professor Osisioma had served as Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor, where she coordinated university activities for a period of three months.

The outcome of the Senate meeting marks a new phase in the institution’s administrative and academic leadership structure.
