THE POLYTECHNIC IBADAN APPOINTS ACTING REGISTRAR

The Polytechnic Ibadan has announced the appointment of a new Acting Registrar. The appointment follows the retirement of the former Registrar.

 

Legitdan news report that The Polytechnic Ibadan has appointed Mrs Olufunto Abimbola Ojewunmi as Acting Registrar following the retirement of Mr Joseph Adewumi Ogunjimi.

Mr Ogunjimi retired after attaining the mandatory retirement age of 65. The appointment of Mrs Ojewunmi was approved by the Governing Council and took effect on March 23, 2026 for an initial period of six months.

Before her appointment, Mrs Ojewunmi served as Senior Deputy Registrar in charge of Personnel. She began her career at the institution in 1992 as an Administrative Officer and has held various positions across different units of the polytechnic.

She is a graduate of English Education from the University of Lagos and has worked in departments including the Continuing Education Centre and the Faculty of Science. She also previously represented the Rector as Acting Chairman of the Polytechnic High School Governing Board.

Her appointment marks a new phase in the administrative leadership of the institution.
