SCHOOL FOUNDER CALLS FOR MORE SUPPORT FOR POLYTECHNIC EDUCATION

The founder of Timeon Kairos Group of Schools has urged increased investment in technical education. He described polytechnic training as important for reducing youth unemployment.

Legitdan news report that the Founder of Timeon Kairos Group of Schools, Titus Oyeyemi, has called on the Federal Government to invest more in polytechnic and vocational education in Nigeria.

He made the appeal during the institution’s combined matriculation and convocation ceremony held in Lagos, where new National Diploma and Higher National Diploma students were admitted while other students graduated from programmes including Accountancy, Computer Science, and Mass Communication.

Oyeyemi stated that the institution is committed to equipping students with practical skills alongside academic knowledge to help them become self reliant after graduation.

He also criticised the perceived gap between university degrees and Higher National Diploma qualifications, noting that both pathways play important roles in national development.

Representatives of the National Board for Technical Education, including Gbenga Abejide, commended the school for maintaining proper accreditation standards and a conducive learning environment.

The event highlighted the importance of technical education and the need for continued support to strengthen the sector.
