LASU Achieves 100% NUC Accreditation for Courses Evaluated in the October/November Assessment Exercise
Under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, the Lagos State University (LASU) has reinforced its status as the top state university and a preferred choice for admission seekers. Recently, LASU, the most digitally advanced state university in Nigeria, secured accreditation for 43 out of 44 courses submitted during the National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation exercise held in October and November 2023.
On June 6, 2024, the university received the accreditation results via a letter from NUC Executive Chairman, Engr. Abraham Chundusu. Of the courses assessed, 43 received full accreditation, while only one, Computer Science Education, received interim accreditation.

During the 27th Convocation Ceremonies, Prof. Olatunji-Bello announced that 20 new programs in four new faculties and schools were approved, with the first set of students admitted in the 2023/2024 Academic Session.
The Vice Chancellor expressed gratitude to the Lagos State Government, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, Commissioner for Tertiary Education Hon. Tolani Sule, the Governing Council, and all LASU stakeholders for their support.
