Lagos State University (LASU) Announces Admission Form for HND/BSc Conversion Top-Up Degree Programme at School of Part-Time Studies

1.0 Preamble

Lagos State University’s School of Part-Time Studies invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the 2023/2024 Conversion of HND/BSc Top-Up Degree Programme. This initiative addresses the disparity between BSc and HND certificate holders, offering a Bachelor’s degree to those looking to overcome the discrimination between university degrees and HND qualifications. Additionally, it provides an opportunity for university degree holders to improve their class of degree.

2.0 Admission Requirements

Candidates seeking admission into the Conversion Top-Up Degree should have a relevant BSc (any class) or HND (minimum of lower credit) plus the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate (or exemption).

3.0 Available Programmes and Their Requirements

2 BSc Business Administration 5 O’Level credits including English, Mathematics, Economics/Commerce, and any two from Financial Accounting, Government, Business Studies, Marketing, Insurance, Bookkeeping, and Biology.
3 BSc Banking & Finance 5 O’Level credits including English, Mathematics, Economics, and any two from Financial Accounting, Government, Business Studies, Bookkeeping, Marketing, Commerce, Biology, and Insurance.
4 BSc Insurance 5 O’Level credits including English, Mathematics, Economics, and any two from Financial Accounting, Government, Business Studies, Insurance, Chemistry, Physics, Marketing, Commerce, and Geography.
5 BSc Industrial Relations & Human Resources Management 5 O’Level credits including English, Mathematics, Economics, and any two from Management and Social Sciences.
6 BSc Public Administration 5 O’Level credits including English, Mathematics, Government/History, Economics/Commerce, and any one subject from Arts and Social Sciences.
7 BSc Marketing 5 O’Level credits including English, Mathematics, and any three from Economics, Accounting, Business Studies, Bookkeeping, Marketing, and Commerce.
8 BSc Mass Communication 5 O’Level credits including English, Mathematics, Literature, and any two from Arts and Social Sciences.
9 BSc Computer Science 5 O’Level credits including English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and one subject from Science.
10 BSc Economics 5 O’Level credits including English, Mathematics, Economics, and any two from Arts and Social Sciences.
11 BSc Geography 5 O’Level credits including English, Mathematics, Geography, and any two from Arts and Social Sciences.
12 BSc Project Management Technology 5 O’Level credits including English, Mathematics, Physics, and any two from Social Sciences and Science.

4.0 Method of Application

To apply, visit www.lasu.edu.ng/epayment to make an e-payment of a non-refundable fee of Twenty-five thousand naira (N25,000) to access the application form. Carefully fill out the form, upload credentials, and submit online. Qualified candidates will be invited for screening. An acceptance fee of Thirty thousand naira (N30,000) and a medical fee of Thirty thousand naira (N30,000) must be paid immediately once admission is offered.
