Kaduna State Students Union, BUK Chapter, Provides Scholarship Update

The Kaduna State Students Union, Bayero University Kano, has released an update on the scholarship program, addressing concerns and providing clarity on the status of awardees.

Key Developments:

1. Fresh List: A new list of 109 awardees, verified on September 19, 2024, has been submitted to the university management, including two additional students from Sudan.

1. Sudan Returnees: Five students from Sudan, cleared on July 31, 2024, have had their registration fees paid by the management.

 

1. First Batch (2023/2024 session): Eighty-three awardees from the initial list, sent on July 22, 2024, have been cleared, with unpaid school fees waived.

 

Total Awardees: 199 students

– Missing Beneficiaries: Previously missing awardees’ documents have been compiled and forwarded to the scholarship board for processing.

– Ongoing Efforts: The union is working closely with the scholarship board to streamline the process and address student concerns.
