FG UNVEILS AI POWERED EDUCATION DATA PLATFORM NEDI
The Federal Government has launched the Nigerian Education Data Infrastructure to improve education planning and learner tracking nationwide. The platform integrates school and examination data into a central system.
Legitdan news report that the Federal Government has unveiled the Nigerian Education Data Infrastructure, a technology driven platform created to strengthen education planning, learner tracking, and data management across the country.
The platform was unveiled by the Federal Ministry of Education during a stakeholders workshop held in Abuja. According to the ministry, the artificial intelligence enabled system will integrate data from schools, examination bodies, and education agencies into a unified national database.
The Minister of Education stated that the platform is linked to the National Identity Number through the National Learner Identity Number and will help reduce identity fraud, examination malpractice, and the activities of illegal miracle centres.
The ministry further disclosed that more than thirty two million learners and two hundred and twenty thousand schools across twenty one states have already been captured on the platform.
The initiative is expected to improve policy making, education monitoring, and access to reliable national education data.
