EKSPOLY GOVERNING COUNCIL CHAIRMAN NAMED AMONG AFRICA’S TOP EDUCATION PERSONALITIES

Professor Emmanuel A Fasakin has been listed among the 100 Most Impactful Education Personalities in Africa for 2025. The recognition was announced at the African Education Summit in Ghana.

Legitdan news report that Professor Emmanuel A Fasakin, Chairman of the Governing Council of Ekiti State Polytechnic has been named among the 100 Most Impactful Education Personalities in Africa for 2025.

The recognition was conferred at the 4th African Education Summit held in Accra, in acknowledgment of his contributions to academic excellence, leadership development, and institutional growth across the education sector.

Professor Fasakin was represented at the event by the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr Sunday Ajeigbe. The recognition also coincides with his retirement from Federal University of Technology Akure at the age of 70.

He has previously served in several academic leadership roles including Dean, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Acting Vice Chancellor, and pioneer Rector. He is recognised for mentoring leaders and contributing to institutional development.

The institution noted that his contributions continue to influence higher education development across Africa even after his retirement.
