The Delta State Scholarship Board (DSSB) has officially announced the release of the 2025 Bursary and Scholarship online application form.

The Scholarship Department of the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board is committed to recognizing and rewarding academic excellence among students from Delta State. The program aims to support outstanding students by providing the financial resources needed to pursue higher education and reach their full potential.

Mission: To provide financial support to outstanding students, thereby promoting academic excellence and contributing to the development of a highly skilled workforce in Delta State.

Key Functions:

• Merit-Based Scholarships: Administering scholarships to support students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance.

• Eligibility Screening: Ensuring that only eligible and deserving students are selected through a transparent process.

• Disbursement of Funds: Efficiently managing and disbursing scholarship funds directly to students’ bank accounts.

• Monitoring and Evaluation: Tracking the academic progress of scholarship recipients to ensure continued eligibility.

• Awareness and Outreach: Raising awareness about scholarship opportunities and guiding students through the application process.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be of Delta State origin.

• Must possess a National Identification Number (NIN).

• Must be a registered full-time student in a government-approved private or public tertiary institution.

• Must have a CGPA of 2.20 and above from the previous academic session.

• Must be in 200 level and above (universities), ND II and HND (polytechnics/monotechnics), or NCE II-III (colleges of education).

• Must have an account with a CBN-approved commercial bank.

How to Apply:

• Visit http://www.dsbsb.dl.gov.ng and click on the “APPLY NOW” button to fill out the scholarship form.

• Pay the non-refundable online processing fee using a debit card.

• Download and print the online acknowledgment card for personal records.

Important Dates:

• The bursary registration will run from Tuesday, 15th April 2025, to 14th May 2025.

Students are encouraged to apply early and ensure that all required information is accurately provided.
