Abia State University (ABSU) Scores 100% In The 2023 NUC Accreditation Exercise

Abia State University Shines in NUC Accreditation

Abia State University has been recognized as one of Nigeria’s leading institutions in academics and research. The recent October/November 2023 Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation results revealed that the university achieved a remarkable 100% success rate, earning full accreditation for all four postgraduate and fifteen undergraduate programs submitted.

The Vice-Chancellor, Distinguished Professor Onyemachi M. Ogbulu, attributed this success to the exemplary leadership and substantial support from the Executive Governor and Visitor to the University, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR. He also expressed his gratitude to the Governing Council, Senate, and students for their sacrifices and cooperation, pledging to maintain the university’s high academic standards.

This achievement follows a similar 100% success in the 2022 NUC accreditation exercise and the impressive performance of seven graduates from the Faculty of Law, who achieved First Class Honours at the 2023 Nigerian Law School Bar Examination.
