JAMB INSISTS ON MARCH 8 DEADLINE FOR 2025 UTME REGISTRATION, NO EXTENSION PLANNED

Legitdan News reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reaffirmed that the registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will not be extended beyond Saturday, March 8, 2025.

JAMB emphasized that this deadline has been widely communicated through advertisements and the official calendar for the 2025 UTME. Candidates are urged to register promptly as no grace period will be given after the stipulated date.

The Board noted that over 1.5 million candidates have already registered, which aligns with its projections for the 2025 examination cycle. However, JAMB observed a recent decline in the number of new registrations and called on all interested candidates to avoid last-minute rushes.

Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the Public Communication Advisor (PCA) of JAMB, explained that the Board’s calendar is fixed, with critical post-registration activities such as the examination, result processing, and admissions exercise already scheduled. He added that any extension would disrupt JAMB’s plans and affect partner agencies relying on the completion of the process.

Prospective candidates are, therefore, strongly advised to complete their registration before March 8, 2025, to avoid missing out on the 2025 UTME.
