MAPOLY CLOSED INDEFINITELY FOLLOWING STUDENT PROTESTS OVER RESULT VERIFICATION

Legitdan News reports that Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, has been indefinitely shut down by its management, effective Monday, January 13, 2025.

The closure follows student protests against the polytechnic’s decision to verify National Diploma results submitted by students from other institutions. According to the management, the exercise aims to identify and eliminate fraudulent results, emphasizing its commitment to upholding academic integrity.

In a statement, the institution urged students to stay off campus for their safety and reassured the public that updates on the situation would be communicated promptly.
