OLADIPO ASSUMES OFFICE AS TASFUED VICE CHANCELLOR
Professor Samuel Ekundayo Oladipo has assumed office as the sixth substantive Vice Chancellor of TASFUED. He also unveiled a five year strategic plan to improve the university’s ranking by 2031.
Legitdan news report that Professor Samuel Ekundayo Oladipo has officially assumed duty as the sixth substantive Vice Chancellor of Tai Solarin Federal University of Education and the third indigenous Vice Chancellor of the institution.
Professor Oladipo, who resumed on May 5, 2026, called on members of the university community to support his administration in repositioning the institution for greater growth and development.
He traced the history of the university from Ogun State College of Education to Tai Solarin College of Education, later Tai Solarin University of Education, and now Tai Solarin Federal University of Education following its federal status in 2025.
The new Vice Chancellor also unveiled a five year strategic development plan tagged TASFUED Vision 2026 to 2031. The roadmap targets top 25 ranking in Nigeria, top 100 in Africa, and top 3000 globally by the year 2031.
According to him, the strategy will be driven through the STAR WIN Agenda, which focuses on sustainable funding, smart governance, technology, digital transformation, academic excellence, research productivity, welfare, infrastructure development, and stronger alumni and international relations.
He added that the university will pursue regular curriculum reviews, introduce demand driven programmes, expand vocational training, strengthen research support, improve student and staff welfare, and upgrade facilities to global standards.
Professor Oladipo expressed confidence that with unity and strategic partnerships, the institution would become a globally respected university known for academic excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth
