LASU STUDENT COUNCIL ANNOUNCES EKO LEGISLATIVE CONFERENCE
The Lagos State University Students Parliamentary Council has announced the Eko Legislative Conference 5.0. The event will focus on leadership and cultural heritage.
Legitdan news report that the Lagos State University Students Parliamentary Council under the National Union of Lagos State Students has announced the Eko Legislative Conference 5.0.
The conference is scheduled to hold from April 4 to April 6, 2026, with the theme Eko as Legacy Lawmaking Leadership and the Preservation of Cultural Heritage.
According to the organisers, the programme will promote cultural consciousness in leadership and the preservation of heritage. Planned activities include an awareness walk, legislative debate, and stakeholder engagements involving policymakers, traditional rulers, and student leaders.
The Speaker of the Council, Mustapha Ishola, stated that the conference is designed to promote Lagos cultural identity and values among emerging leaders.
He also acknowledged government support through bursaries and scholarships while raising concerns over delays, accessibility challenges, and limited engagement with student representatives. He called for improved transparency and responsiveness.
