Legitdan news report that Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University marked World Safety Day on April 28, 2026, with a programme aimed at strengthening safety culture within the institution.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Kate Azuka Omenugha, commended the initiative and reaffirmed her commitment to maintaining a secure campus environment for staff and students.

She also welcomed plans to establish a Students Marshals Corps to support safety awareness, emergency response, cleanliness, and campus orderliness.

The event reflects the university’s objective of creating a safer and healthier learning environment for the academic community.
