OGBONNAYA ONU POLYTECHNIC TO INTRODUCE EDTECH COURSES
The polytechnic in Aba has announced plans to introduce Educational Technology courses. The move is aimed at improving digital learning and teaching methods.
Legitdan news report that Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic in Aba, Abia State, has announced plans to introduce Educational Technology courses for students.
The Rector, Dr Christopher Okoro Kalu, stated that the new courses will focus on helping students develop skills in using digital tools, improving teaching methods, and adapting to modern education trends. He added that all proposed courses will be properly accredited or verified before the institution relocates to its new campus in Osisioma.
The Rector also provided updates on infrastructure development at the new campus. He noted that work is ongoing on water supply installation, road construction, and a new administrative building which is expected to be completed by September.
The institution has also received additional facilities from Abia State University and is placing priority on the welfare of both staff and students during the transition process.
To support practical learning, the polytechnic is establishing an EYE Content Hub equipped with modern facilities for Film and Multimedia students. In addition, the school is collaborating with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency to address issues related to drug abuse among students.
