Students of Modibbo Adama University have expressed concern over a sharp rise in hostel fees. The increase has led to financial strain and complaints over lack of improvements.

Legitdan news report that students of Modibbo Adama University have voiced dissatisfaction following an increase in hostel accommodation fees from 15000 naira to over 60000 naira for the new academic session.

Students stated that the increase is not matched with improvements in hostel facilities, noting that the number of occupants per room remains unchanged despite the higher cost.

Some students reported that the sudden fee adjustment has created financial pressure and misunderstandings with their parents, with some initially doubting the new charges.
