UNIOSUN Receives ₦2.03 Billion NELFUND Loan Disbursement for 5,924 Students
Osun State University has confirmed receipt of over ₦2.03 billion from NELFUND to support 5,924 students through institutional loans for the 2025/2026 academic session.
Legitdan News reports that Osun State University has received six batches of student loan disbursements from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund.
The total amount disbursed stands at ₦2,038,534,000, benefiting 5,924 students of the institution for the 2025/2026 academic session.

• Batch UNIOSUNSL18, 1,454 students, ₦527,603,500, disbursed on 29 January 2026
• Batch UNIOSUNSL19, 1,101 students, ₦378,262,500, disbursed on 13 February 2026
• Batch UNIOSUNSL21, 1,435 students, ₦479,392,000, disbursed on 18 February 2026
• Batch UNIOSUNSL22, 769 students, ₦261,390,000, disbursed on 26 February 2026
• Batch UNIOSUNSL23, 368 students, ₦122,149,000, disbursed on 5 March 2026
• Batch UNIOSUNSL25, 797 students, ₦269,737,000, disbursed in March 2026
The Vice-Chancellor, Odunayo Adebooye, expressed appreciation for the timely support provided by NELFUND. He noted that the intervention has helped students meet their financial needs and continue their education without disruption.
The University management commended the prompt processing of applications and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting students in accessing available financial aid opportunities.
