UNILAG HOSTS TFGBV APP CHALLENGE HACKATHON TO TACKLE DIGITAL GENDER VIOLENCE

The University of Lagos Safeguarding Centre brought together Computer Science students to design digital solutions addressing technology facilitated gender based violence.

Legitdan news report that the University of Lagos Safeguarding Centre hosted the TFGBV App Challenge Hackathon on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

The initiative focused on combating technology facilitated gender based violence by engaging students in developing innovative digital tools and applications. The programme convened Computer Science students who worked on creating practical technological solutions to address emerging forms of gender based violence within and beyond the campus community.
