UNILAG EXTENDS DEADLINE FOR 2025 HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION APPLICATIONS

Legitdan News reports that the University of Lagos has extended the deadline for hostel accommodation applications for the 2025 to 2026 academic session. Students now have until 11.59 p.m. on Thursday, 27 November 2025 to complete their applications for bed spaces. The hostel balloting exercise will take place on Friday, 28 November 2025.

Who can apply

• 200 to 500 level students
• Students who have completed course registration for 1st semester, 2025 to 2026 session
• Students still within the regular duration of their course
Students who do not meet these conditions will not join the ballot.

How to apply for hostel accommodation

• Log in to the student portal with valid details
• Complete 1st semester course registration
• Open the hostel accommodation section during the window
• Submit the application before the deadline
• Save proof of application for reference

How the ballot works

• All valid applications submitted before 11.59 p.m. on Thursday, 27 November 2025 will enter a random ballot
• Every eligible applicant gets a chance
• Allocation will follow the random ballot system
• Balloting holds Friday, 28 November 2025

Important restrictions

The following students are not eligible for this balloting:
• Students living in El-Kannemi Hall 2
• Students living in Gbajabiamila
• Students living in UNILAG Women Society
• Students living in similar hostels around campus

The Student Affairs Division has their records. Any student from these hostels who applies will face the Students’ Disciplinary Board.
