JAMB CONFIRMS: NO RESCHEDULING FOR CANDIDATES WHO MISS THEIR UTME EXAMS
Legitdan News reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reiterated its stance on not rescheduling UTME examinations for candidates who fail to show up at their centers.
This came in response to a tweet from a candidate with the handle @Abilitygohard, who shared that he arrived 30 minutes late to his UTME center due to a faulty bus, but was not allowed to write the exam. He appealed to JAMB for a second chance.
In a firm reply, JAMB stated:
“@Abilitygohard, sorry we don’t reschedule examination for absentees.”
This serves as an important reminder to all UTME candidates that lateness or absence—regardless of the reason—will not be excused or rescheduled.
KEY TAKEAWAY:
If you miss your scheduled UTME exam for any reason, you will not be given another chance to write it.
Advice:
Candidates are strongly advised to leave early, prepare ahead for logistics, and avoid any situation that could cause delay.
