SUMMIT UNIVERSITY, OFFA MATRICULATES 194 STUDENTS IN GRAND CEREMONY
Legitdan News reports that Summit University, Offa, held its 9th Matriculation Ceremony on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the Alhaja Adiat Abegbe Makanjuola Lecture Theatre, officially welcoming 194 fresh students into its academic community.
The new intakes—comprising 103 males and 91 females—were ushered into the university in a colourful ceremony that highlighted the institution’s growing influence in Nigeria’s academic landscape.
Delivering his address, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abiodun Musa Aibinu, congratulated the matriculating students and their families. He described the occasion as a “defining moment” in the lives of the students and a significant step in their journey toward becoming impactful leaders and professionals.
“This is not just a formal rite of passage,” he said. “It is the beginning of a journey that will shape your future and prepare you for meaningful contributions to society.”
Institutional Growth and Innovation
Professor Aibinu traced the steady evolution of Summit University since its inception in 2017. He proudly announced the successful addition of new academic units, including:
• The Kola Balogun College of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Engineering
• The College of Innovation and Computing Technology
• The College of Postgraduate Studies
He noted that students from these newly established colleges were part of this year’s matriculating set, marking a new chapter in the university’s commitment to emerging technologies and global academic relevance.

The Vice-Chancellor reaffirmed Summit University’s mission to raise graduates who are intellectually sound, socially responsible, and morally upright. According to him, all students would undergo a comprehensive developmental curriculum that integrates:
